Do you have parking?

We are situated next to the Amcal Pharmacy with an abundance of street parking.

Do you take walk ins?

We are more than happy to accept walk ins but please keep in mind that availability is subject to the doctors availability so if we are unable to accomodate you when you arrive we will attempt to get you a booking as soon as possible.

Returning phone calls and messages

Your phone call and voice messages will be returned by one of our friendly staff members within a reasonable time frame.

Management of Patient Health Information

Patient Feedback

Please speak to a member of the clinical team or administrative staff if you have any feedback or suggestions. If you are unhappy with the service you have received our staff are approachable and will endeavour to follow up your issue in a timely manner.

If your complaint remains unresolved to your satisfaction you may call the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner on 1300 582 113.

Cancelling appointment/late attendances

If you wish to cancel your appointment please give us a call 24 hours prior to the appointment. If you do not call to cancel your appointment you may be preventing another patient from getting much needed medical attention.

We understand that delays can happen however we must try to keep the other patients and doctors on time.

If a patient is 15 minutes past their appointment we will reschedule the appointment.

Please note that if you fail to attend three appointments in a row you will be charged a seventy dollar ($70) fee; this will not be covered by Medicare.

Out of Pocket Expenses

  1. All Pension Card holders, DVA card holders, Healthcare Card holders and children under 16 years old are Bulk Billed
  2.  Private Patients: Standard Consult – $80 with a Medicare rebate of $41.20. Long Consult – $120 with a Medicare rebate of $79.70
  3. If you fail to cancel an unwanted appointment or don’t attend an appointment there will be a $30 fee charged.

Test Results

It is our practice policy to only disclose results at follow-up appointments, this ensures that the correct and adequate information is given to the patient upon receiving results We do not disclose results over the phone or via email unless advised by the Doctor. In case of urgent results the Service Street Medical Centre will contact you to make a follow-up appointment as soon as possible.
